A LITTLE EXTRA
We weren’t always the expansive company that we are today. In 1958, we were a commercial printshop that just happened to sell office supplies. SpeeDee has grown from a small commercial printing facility into a one-stop-shop for all of your business needs.
OUR HISTORY
Walk through the timeline of SpeeDee as we tell you a little story of how we became the company you love today.
1958: FOUNDATION
Maurice George opens SpeeDee Printers and Stationers.
1964: EXPANDING THE BUSINESS
Terrace location opens, soon after locations in Smithers, Fort St. John and multiple locations in Prince George open.
1985: NEW OWNERSHIP
Maurice's son, David George takes over as President of SpeeDee.
1995: GROWING COMMERCIAL
Expands further as the Commercial Printing Division grows out of the gallows of Brunswick to 795 3rd Avenue.
2013: NEW HEADWAY
Over half a century later, SpeeDee proudly has a total of six locations in Northern BC, and employs over 100 people.
2015: BUSINESS AWARD
SpeeDee graciously received the 2015 Service Excellence Award from the Prince George Chamber of Commerce.
2021: NEW OWNERSHIP
David’s daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Kyle Flannagan, take over Ownerhip of SpeeDee.
